Before Volkan’s Adventures became the go-to name for unforgettable experiences in Dalyan, there was Asena Boutique Hotel—a small, intimate haven tucked away in this magical town. With just 11 cozy rooms, Asena wasn’t just a place to stay—it was a place where friendships blossomed, stories were shared, and adventures were born.
At the heart of Asena stood a round bar, shaded by an old Ash Tree. This wasn’t just any bar—it was a meeting point, a storytelling corner, and a stage for ideas. Guests would gather around in the evenings, sipping drinks, laughing, and sharing dreams of exploring Dalyan’s hidden treasures.
And then, I’d often lean in, raise my glass, and say—“Guys, I have an idea!”
The Beginning of the Adventures 🚐🌊
What happened next? Spontaneity took over.
We’d hire a bus or a boat, pack some snacks and drinks, and set off—no fixed plans, just the promise of discovery. Sometimes we’d get lost on winding roads, other times we’d crash a wedding we weren’t invited to (and get welcomed like family).
We’d swim in hidden lagoons, explore ancient ruins, and end up in villages where locals invited us to their homes. No two days were the same.
What started as spontaneous outings soon became the foundation for something bigger—Volkan’s Adventures.

When I left the hotel business, I didn’t leave behind the values or the spirit that shaped those early days. Instead, I carried them forward, creating a company built on the idea that travel should feel personal, adventurous, and deeply connected to the people and places we visit.
Many of those first guests at Asena—people who trusted me when I said, “Guys, I have an idea!”—became the first clients of Volkan’s Adventures. They brought their friends, who brought their friends, and the rest is history.
