About Our Wines
The domesticated grapevine (Vitis vinifera) is historically one of the most important fruit species in the classic Mediterranean world. It is the most important economic fruit species in the modern world today. Amazingly, the pine forests in the region from Mugla eastwards along the coast to Antalya still grows the wild vitis vinifera sylvestris. These produce some of the most popular wine grapes such as pinot noir and cabernet sauvignon. All wines we will be tasting will be grown and produced in Turkey. Most grapes will be original Turkish strains but we will also have a few non-Turkish originated grapes which are grown in Turkey. Our wine portfolio changes almost weekly, but is always of top notch quality on our Wine Tasting Dalyan Boat Trip.
Setting Sail
Beginning at 6.00 pm, set sail with us on our beautiful boat from Dalyan harbour as we make our way out towards the breath-taking Koycegiz Lake . After a while, we arrive at the perfect spot to marvel at the stunning sunset. As day turns into night, you will have the opportunity to enjoy ten varieties of wine. You will be offered a cross section of red, white and rose wines on an unlimited basis. These will be expertly matched with sumptuous platters of food in which you can indulge. Be assured, the contents of these platters will be carefully chosen to complement the delicious flavours of the various wines. You will be spoiled with a huge variety of meats, cheeses, nuts, breads and fruits to truly bring out the best of the deep rooted essence within each type of wine on our Wine Tasting Dalyan Boat Trip.
Dinner
Later in the evening, we will serve you a delicious homemade chicken saute, accompanied with rice and a delicious salad.
As well as savouring the wonderful tastes of all that is on offer, you will also be able to learn the history of the wines, along with the vineyards and the areas of origin – all whilst we cruise on our boat making occasional stops at beautiful scenic points along the way. Weather and your mood allowing, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the warm waters of Koycegiz Lake (dependant on season). You will be able to swim under the stars with your wine being served to you in the water on our Wine Tasting Dalyan boat trip.
We will aim to return to Dalyan for 10.00 pm.
At the end of the trip there will be the opportunity for you to purchase any wines you particularly enjoyed by the bottle should you so wish. If you are not a wine drinker as such but would still like to join the trip, we can change your unlimited wine option to something else if you prefer.
Tour Reviews
One of Volkan’s new tours and we decided to give it a whirl as it seemed to be our sort of low key trip. Volkan’s at 6.30pm to meet up with the group, a nice number of 14, all friendly and as is always with Volkan’s tours, chatty and happy. Lovely trip, brilliant selection of wines, and food. Volkan as always was prolific in his knowledge of the wines available, and the history of Turkish wine-making. Red wine is not our favourite so we stuck to whites and rose, but the others on the tour said it was delicious. Lots of laughter, and nice snuggly blankets offered on the boat since there was a chill in the air. Great for star-gazing.
Finished up at the Jazz Bar with a gang off the boat, dancing and shots, a thoroghly enjoyable experience to be repeated next year!!!

Excellent addition to Volkan’s tours. Nice intimate group who socialised well. Volkan’s knowledge of the wines and their inception knows no boundaries. The wine did truly flow as promised in the information and the mezes on offer were plentiful. All in all a very good value for money, chilled out excursion. Can’t wait for the remainder of our trips over the next week.
We met some great people and the after party continued back on shore in the Riverside bar. This trip is highly recommended
Fantastic evening experience with Volkan and his team, really friendly and welcoming. They make you feel really at home. We did the wine tasting boat trip and what a trip it was. Amazing scenery amazing wine and great fun. If you are thinking of booking any trips in Dalyan this is the place you need to go, so many unique experiences we’ve booked the next 3 already!! Went on Volkan’s Wine Tasting trip – excellent – Volkan took time to explain the origin of all the wines. Able to sample all wines on offer – with plentiful trips to the wine barrels…lol. Definitely recommend as a must do boat trip
