Yesil Vadi (Green Valley):
A scenic drive through local villages and lush forests leads you to Yesil Vadi, also known as Green Valley. Arriving at our hidden campsite, nestled among trees, you’ll find a peaceful retreat from the midday sun. Relax on floating kosks above the river, explore wooden bridges, or take a dip in the clear lake fed by a waterfall.
The Valley Experience: Spend around 4 hours immersed in the beauty of the valley, where you’ll have ample time to walk, swim, relax, explore, and take pictures. The verdant surroundings, enveloped by the lush greenery of liquid ambar and pine trees, create a serene backdrop. The gentle rustle of leaves, the crisp scent of pine, and the sweet, spicy aroma of liquid ambar harmonize with the crystal-clear river that invites you for a refreshing dip. Serene lagoons beckon, offering tranquil spots to unwind.
Along the way, encounter Turkish families picnicking under the shade, their laughter adding warmth to the surroundings. The fragrance and essence of nature permeate the air, enhancing your sensory experience. Every turn reveals a new, breathtaking view – from golden-hued valleys to charming wildflower scenes.
Important Note: The valley walk includes points that can be challenging, particularly for those with mobility issues. Some sections are difficult, and participants need to be fit to fully enjoy this part of the tour. Good, solid shoes suitable for walking on uneven terrain are essential. Sandals that can go in the water are also a comfortable option for the varied landscapes you’ll encounter on this nature-filled adventure.
Lunch: Enjoy a delightful lunch prepared with Turkish delicacies, which might be a sophisticated picnic or a meal at the camp area where local Turkish folks will prepare lunch for us. This flexible arrangement ensures you experience the heart of the valley while savoring authentic flavors.
Rock Tomb Visit: On the way back to Dalyan around 4 pm, make a short stop at a Lycian rock tomb. Venture inside, capture pictures, and connect with ancient history.
Capture the beauty of Green Valley with a waterproof camera and relish the cool atmosphere on hot summer days. The tour concludes around 17:30 pm as you return to Dalyan, leaving you with indelible memories of a day well-spent in nature’s embrace.
Note: For an optimal experience during the Green Valley Immersion Tour, we recommend wearing good, solid shoes suitable for walking on uneven terrain. Sandals that can go in the water are also a comfortable option for the varied landscapes you’ll encounter on this nature-filled adventure.
Pro Tip: Capture the breathtaking moments of your Green Valley Immersion Tour by bringing a waterproof camera or a waterproof cover for your phone. We found the trip on the whole , ejoyable , but we weren’t aware of how difficult it would be to walk across the river several times . We are fairly fit 50’s ladies but still found walking across deep parts where the current was strong . Good sturdy shoes are advisable . The lunch was VERY poor . No fish or chicken or meatballs available , just a chicken casserole which consisted of burnt fatty chicken and 3 bits of vegetables . We waited an hr and a half for the food as well .
The group were all in good spirits and our guide was very helpful especially helping us across the river
