Guys, I Have An Idea!

We first went on one of Volkan’s Adventures just after he had started running them, about five years ago, and we have been on many more since then. All have been very enjoyable and different from the rest. We have visited some fantastic places and have some wonderful memories.
Last year we went on a private overnight trip with Volkan to Sagalassos, which was amazing, and we went with another couple of friends on a private trip to Ephesus, also amazing. We have done most of his trips over the past few years, and are looking forward to more when we return next year!
This year has obviously been an exceptional one, but Volkan had the fantastic idea of virtual tours as we couldn’t visit in person, and it was great to go on virtual boat trips on the lake, walks around town with Murat and even a walk around Istanbul with Volkan and Mutlu. On top of that was weekly cookery classes with Murat and his wife, and Turkish lessons with Volkan- I’d love to think these might restart over the winter.

If you are planning on booking any organised tours or trips during your stay in Dalyan, I would definitely recommend Volkan’s Adventures.

We booked our boat trip through them for our large family group which consisted of adults, teens and small children (25 people). We were given two lovely boats (12 on one boat and 13 on the other). The boats stayed close to each other while moving and were next to each other when anchored.

Our guide Erim and his family were friendly, helpful and very well organised. They were also lots of fun and joined in with our energetic and lively family’s antics.

We sailed down the river and stopped in the open waters near Iztuzu (Turtle) Beach for some snorkeling. Erim’s team jumped in to test the waters each time we stopped anywhere for a swim before we were allowed in. We were given life jackets and pool noodles if we wanted them. From there, we went on to anchor near a beach that was only accessible via the river. We jumped off the boats and a short walk took us to the beach which was entirely deserted. Some of our group went back to the boat to paddleboard in the small lake and some of us stayed on the beach. We then went back to the boat for the lovely barbeque meal where the meat was cooked in front of us. Both the boats had slightly different menus. Our boat had mini beef kebabs, salads, bread, pasta and bulghur. Water was free throughout the duration of the trip, but drinks had to be purchased.

We then went on to the Ala Gol (lake) which is heated by thermal springs. When swimming, if you stop to tread water you can just feel the warm water brushing your feet.

We then made our way back to the harbour in Dalyan town and watched the sunset as we travelled down the river.

We were in Dalyan for 9 days in total and we did a few day trips, including with one other tour group. Volkan Adventures was so much more professional and the tour was outstanding. The crew on both boats were friendly and great fun, but they were also very conscious about safety throughout the trip. We all agreed that the boat trip was the highlight of our holiday and we would recommend it.

As a large group we organised a couple of trips with Volkan before arriving in Turkey and enjoyed them so much we did an additional one on arrival. Service is fantastic and trips amazing. Please try this company you won’t be disappointed.
Our first trip was a moonlight boat tour to the lake. We had a private boat for our group. The boat was lovely, the service great and the food served was exceptional. We had a few different swim spots. We also ventured to a darker part of the lake to see the stars and saw plenty of shooting stars. We headed back to Dalyan for midnight.
The second trip was again a private trip but for on a large lovely boat out of Gocek. We were picked up around 9.30 in a lovely air conditioned minibus, and taken to the boat in gocek marina. Our host was Selim, who is an absolute gem of a man, kind, knowledgeable and an all round nice guy.
The boat blue melody is fabulous, roomy, comfortable and clean. We had an excellent day sailing the islands. The food served was delicious.
Our final trip was a bit of a everything to see the real Turkey. We did as a private tour again, so we could personalise. Selim again was our host and again was fantastic.
We saw Akakya and went on a boat on the beautiful clear water, we ate at an absolutely fantastic restaurant and did some swimming in the clear water stream. We then went to the best ice cream parlour any of us have ever been to and tried a multitude of delicious flavours and after that on to another swim spot on the lake at jimmys island. Selim offered to take us to another spot afterwards but we were all happy with our full day and beautiful places we had seen and chose to return to Dalyan. This was a fab trip as it gave us a glance of the real Turkey, and how the Turkish people holiday. What a beautiful country Turkey is.

Highly recommend Volkan tours, we were a large party of 17 so the tours we did were private ones. We had used them pre covid times and we’re highly satisfied so when visiting again this year my daughter contacted them and arranged some trips. Selim was our guide on all the trips we did, he is very knowledgeable and an absolute gentleman. I would highly recommend Volkan tours.

Just come back from a fabulous week in Dalyan. Before we went we booked a private boat trip for 8 girls with Volkan for the day. He designed our itinerary for us. We had an absolute ball on the boat. Danced all day. Nothing was too much trouble and catered for a birthday party on board. Would definitely recommend and do it again

Vulcan adventures really do care about you having a fabulous day, On our first trip there was a double booking which was no fault of Vulcans as this was an outsourced company that made the bookings so Vulcan promised us that we could have any trip we wanted any day and was truly apologetic. Once he became aware it was my 50th birthday that day Vulcan immediately went into action and got me and my husband a private boat trip which was way more than what I expected. We got to choose where we wanted to go and what we wanted to eat. Within an hour we were picked up and treated so special on a beautiful boat for the day, excellent food and boat staff and a cake to top it off. Brilliant day and one I will remember forever. We went on to have another 2 fabulous trips with Vulcan in the time we were there and we plan on booking more for when we return next year. I truly recommend Vulcan adventures as you really get a warm and friendly service from not only Vulcan and his wife but the staff, captains and families that work with him.

This was our first visit to Dalyan and Volkan’s Adventures had been highly recommended to us by a friend who is a regular visitor. We were not disappointed!
Selim accompanied us on an evening trip to see the views at Radar Mountain followed by dinner at the Sunset Restaurant. Stunning views, fabulous food and Selim was great fun , engaging company and an excellent host. Volkan also organised a private boat for us to enjoy a whole day on the water . Just the two of us on a spacious boat. It was bliss. The boat , the captain and the food provided couldn’t have been nicer. Such a wonderful way to explore the local area in privacy and total comfort, a really fantastic day.

We have been using Volkan’s Adventures since the company started up and honestly cant fault them. Communication is spot on, trips are all excellent – the transport, the guides, the food.
